on 02016-10-07On 2016-09-20, #Abu-Dhabi in the #UAE reports that the lowest bid on their energy auction was AED 88.8 (US$24.2) per MWh, by Marubeni and JinkoSolar Holding Co.; other bids are US$25.4/MWh (Masdar, EDF, PAL Technology), 25.9 (Tenaga, Phelan Energy), 29.1 (RWE, Belectric), 30.8 (JGC, First Solar, Sojitz), and 36.3 (KEPCO, Hanwha Q Cells, GSE). The Marubeni complex would be of 1170 MW, although the tender was for only 350 MW. Last month Chile’s similar auction had a lowest bid of US$29.1/MWh.
