why #Wayland is a better option for the future of driving your #graphics hardware than trying to keep #XFree86 alive, by the guy who got sick of doing it #X-Windows
apparently #SD card #hardware can’t handle lots of transitions on #SPI MOSI when CLK is stable, but Dmitry overcame that problem with another latch and interfaced an SD card to his #Handspring. Oh and apparently you have to init the card at 400kHz or less. And now you can buy his boards from #JLCPCB for US$3
Apparently you can run #RISC-V Linux on an #ice40 or at least a Lattice ECP5 now, on a versa_ecp5 board? And this package includes all the deps and has an easy-to-use script and getting-started guide?

Mad Scientist [Laboratory] is a #USA Army initiative and a community of action that continually explores the future through collaborative partnerships and continuous dialogue with academia, industry and government. Through this initiative, the Army shapes future multi-domain (i.e., Land, Air, Sea, Cyber, and Space) operations in its role as a thought leader in the future of warfare. The program consists of an All Partners Access Network (APAN) community of action, a monthly on-line speaker series, conferences with world class experts at the Nation’s premier academic institutions, and now, this blog — envisioning the Operational Environment!

huh, this #PDF #datasheet implies someone’s making 2N2222 and 2N2222A transistors in TO-18 metal cans recently enough to make them #RoHS compliant (“MCC”, “Micro Commercial Components”.) The 2N2222A is 40V, 800mA, -55° to +150°, 500mW, 350K/W θ, 10nA cutoff current, β ∈ [35, 300], 300 MHz transition frequency at 20mA, 4dB noise figure, 200ns storage time. Pretty spiffy!
