He also vividly illustrates diodes as temperature sensors by heating one with his finger while connected to an Agilent U2152A multimeter with a 4-digit diode-test function; the forward voltage drops from .6246V to .6214V, 100μV at a time, from the finger heating, then resurges to .6246V after he removes his finger.
