#video #toread by #Bitluni on how he built a miniature data cassette tape drive #electronics
on 02025-09-03#Bitluni #video on how ESP32 #microcontrollers can #bitbang #NTSC and PAL color, including YUV equations, etc.
on 02025-08-13#video by #Bitluni of #bitbang #NTSC and PAL video signals from ESP32 #microcontrollers using I²S. Waveform animations showing the h-sync pulse, etc. Recommends watching CNLohr’s videos for color.
on 02025-08-13#video of #Bitluni making a laser vector display with some laser galvos driven from an #ESP32, burning out a lot of hardware in the process. #microcontrollers #electronics #hardware
on 02025-03-04#Bitluni assembling a US$140 #CNC mill from a kit four years ago. After some trial and error and breaking a D-bit from having too low a speed and too high a speed, and an end mill from a mistake I didn’t understand, he does eventually succeed in #manufacturing a “PCB” from copper-clad. #video
on 02024-12-27#Bitluni wrote an assembler and interpreter for a new CHIP-8-like bytecode in one day on stream. #video of his 10¢ CH32V003 240-LED matrix board. He wants to switch to a CH32X035, which sounds like it might not be #RISC-V, but has USB-C support built in. Previously he had the buttons on a resistor ladder. He has a tiny little postage-stamp-sized hotplate to reflow his QFNs. If you short D+ to Vcc at powerup time it goes into programming mode and you can install new firmware. #electronics #hardware
on 02024-05-19#bitluni made an ASIC #video. 165 designs on the chip (eFabless Tiny Tapeout 2, in 02022, US$300, from Matt Venn’s Zero to ASIC course), and he can test any of them; his design is a file of a three-frame 32×32 rickroll (512 bytes, GIF89a). He got back the chip 9 months later. More recent Tiny Tapeout runs are using much faster buses than the serial bus his chip used. Instead of JLCPCB or PCBWay he’s advertising PCB fab house Aisler in this video, who supports LCSC.
