on 02017-03-11"Selfie" is a #self-sustaining system inspired by Oberon, a self-compiling compiler called starc (in and for a subset of C they call C*; single-pass recursive-descent, as you’d expect), operating system (“hypster”), standard library (“libcstar”), and emulator (“mipster”), all for a subset of MIPS-32 called MIPSter, all in about 7000 lines of C. (Or maybe C*, I’m not sure.) Goal: “provides an educational platform for teaching undergraduate and graduate students the design and implementation of programming languages and runtime systems.” By Christoph Kirsch.
