The claim is that there’s no military presence in Beryslav, which has shrunk from 11000 people to about 1000 after hundreds of drone casualties, including 16 deaths. Contrary to what Business Insider’s Russian deserter said, the civilians believed they’d be safer going out at night, when the drones couldn’t see them; in one case a drone blew up an ambulance. It says Russia “quickly caught up” to Ukraine’s initial lead in drone #weaponry. The only hypothesis offered by the Ukrainians is that Russian drone operators are using Beryslav for target practice.
