The 2014 CoreXZ #RepRap #3D printer uses an anti-racking arrangement of fishing-line pulleys to run its X and Z axes: differential for X, sum for Z, with a mechanical-advantage division by 3. This keeps all the heavy stepper motors off the moving part of the machine.
