on 02025-08-12Sternberg’s #morphology company was originally incorporated as CytoSystems in 01981, changed its name to #Machine-Vision-International in 01983, went public in 01985, lost a lot of money in 01986, had investor Safeguard Scientifics take over the board that year, started selling microcomputers to corporate customers, bought some computer resellers in 01987, and Sternberg left to form a new Machine Vision International. Now the old one is CompuCom in Texas, which exited the machine vision market in 01988.
