#EEVblog salvaging parts from #inkjet printers (HP Officejet Pro 8710) to reuse; specifically the power supply (32V at 1095mA or, in sleep mode, 12V at 170mA), four conveniently mounted infrared photosensors, ferrite beads, coin cells, through-hole inductors, a relay, high-voltage suppression caps, a surface-mount pulse transformer for power supply feedback, an LCD screen with flat-flex cable and IR LEDs around it for the IR touchscreen, linear scanning array (CCD?), dc motor with relative optical encoder, linear rod for the carriage, lots of T10 Torx screws, four more dc motors (the head drive motor being a large 20-watt Mabuchi RS-645VA-24135, the third being in the ink sump pump, and the fourth being the paper advance motor with a 600-count optical encoder disc), optical encoder grating tape, speaker, springs. Says there’s nothing of value in the paper tray and that the plastic is nonreusable, so in summary it’s “not worth your time”. #hoarding #bootstrapping #video
