on 02024-11-16fully enclosed tarp #stealth-camping #video by Claire #WildBeare. She has a 3m × 2.9m “SuperLight” brand tarp from DD Hammocks, and she converts it into a tetrahedral tent (with no floor) by pegging the tarp’s four corners to three points on the ground and then lifting up the midpoint of an edge on her trekking pole, which was insufficiently tall, so she instead pulled up the tip of the new tent on a ridgeline run between two trees. Then she sets up a ground sheet inside, and bedroll, and air mattress, etc. The edges of the tent don’t quite reach the ground, leaving some air space. Most of the rest of the video is her cooking on a campstove and eating sausages. Not really very stealth, and I’m not convinced that it would work well in the rain.
