Harvey E. White, the #slide-rules video professor, taught at Berkeley; he worked on atomic spectroscopy under Paschen in Germany, then went to Cornell and Berkeley. Doesn’t seem to have ever discovered anything. Well, he published 13 papers when he was at Cornell.
