on 02017-03-22Jonathan Payne, who wrote the JOVE text #editor for the PDP-11/70, endorses the gap #buffer data structure in 1990. Interestingly, the article mentions emacsclient, which I thought didn’t exist for many years. (In fact, I learned vi in 1994 because I didn’t know emacsclient existed.)
