/u/helenzaas says, in February 02022, “I opened the third bin store in the United States and personally created the price dropping concept that thousands of bin stores use today. I’m 22. A couple of Italian brothers are very rich now because of me (can you feel my frustration through your screen? Lol) So essentially I’ve been doing this for a long time and I have all the answers. (...) So yes there are stores out there that scam and do business unethically and they totally get away with it and make a lot of money. But to be fair, a lot of these people got into the business when it was profitable, built relationships with their customers in their community, and didn’t want to quit so they had to make up for it somehow. It seems selfish to sell the very expensive items online but it’s the only way to stay open now.” #bin-store #history
on 02026-05-15#bin-store explains: Saturdays $6 per item, Sundays $5, Mondays $3, Tuesdays $1. “[The products] are primarily overstock and returned items. By avoiding additional costs such as sorting, merchandising, pricing each item individually, and so on, we can offer these items at prices that our customers truly appreciate. (...) Customers have the opportunity to browse through bins containing tens of thousands of items”
