Adam Sah’s “made of meat” group has been having regular Zoom meetups for a year, a little more than once a month, where people demo the things they’re building with #AI.
#Gangwere family: Sherbie Gangwere of the GE Computer Division (01931–02009?), son of Sherbie Gangwere and Thelma Tubbs, married to “(Unknown) Sutton”.
Bandit says Sherbie #Gangwere, his father, was on a seven-person team that had moved to the “San Jose Bay Area” and wrote the CALL/360 timesharing #BASIC for the #IBM 360, which ran under OS/360, “for Buck Rogers of IBM [...] for a fixed-price, 10 month contract”. #history

#AWS’s "Firecracker" “VMM” is open-source; I think this is what they use for containing Lambda Functions. “an open source #virtualization technology purpose-built for creating and managing secure, multi-tenant container and function-based services. It enables you to deploy workloads in lightweight virtual machines (microVMs) that provide enhanced security and workload isolation over traditional VMs, while enabling the speed and resource efficiency of containers.”
#virtualization #security is not good enough to contain current #AI agents like GPT 5.6-Cyber, except that #Firecracker sort of withstood the attack. “I had the AI agent run against Firecracker. It was able to hardlock the machine due to more Linux kernel flaws (all patched in upstream), but could not successfully escape. It may have, given even more time, but Firecracker is obviously a substantially harder target.”
"Hack42" is a #hackerspace in Arnhem. They have a public #Jitsi server.
Daniele Procida’s "Diataxis" (“Diátaxis”) is “A systematic approach to technical documentation authoring. [...] four distinct needs, and four corresponding forms of documentation - tutorials, how-to guides, technical reference and explanation.” Specifically, tutorials and explanation are directed at acquisition (study) rather than application (work), and tutorials and how-to guides are directed at action (doing) rather than cognition (knowing). The “north star” for the information architecture of the new Cloudflare development docs.
