anhydrous sodium sulfate for sale, Pagrun brand, AR$10 per 25 kg. WP says it costs US$90 per tonne (“for salt cake quality”), which would be US$2.25 for 25 kg, which would be about AR$32; not sure why it’s cheaper here. The local price here works out to 2.9¢/kg. Selling it to someone who isn’t a chemistry lab is technically illegal in order to cut down on drug trafficking. The vendor seems to be some kind of salvage, recycling, or auction place; their other sales are largely car parts and air conditioners. #materials
coarse salt (sodium chloride) for sale for AR$205 per 50 kg, which works out to 29¢/kg; Química Vergara brand. “No creo que te sirva para comestibles porque no viene del todo limpia,” heh. #chemicals
a router lathe copying a table leg by carving it out of a log within a few minutes. Looks like insanely dangerous #manufacturing.
