on p.68 of this "Timeless Bowhunting" book, there’s a graph of Dan Quillian’s results how arrows weighing 520 grains (33.7 g) to 608 grains (39.4 g) fly from a 67-pound (298 N) bow at 155 to 210 feet per second (47 to 64 m/s), using Dacron or Spectra bowstrings, which weigh respectively 160 and 100 grains (10 and 6.5 g), being drawn over 26 to 30 inches (66 to 76 cm). (Damned folk measurement units.) These bowstring weights presumably prevent you from launching arrows that weigh less than about 15 grams with any real efficiency. #bows
